'Signs of Santa' Christmas Cards using Stamping Up Stamp and Die sets: Stacks of Elves Post #5 of 7

Dear Bloggers,
Several years ago I purchased, 'Signs of Santa', a super cute stamp, die and paper set by Stamping Up.
I industriously stamped, coloured and cut out images and then.....nothing. The delightful little elves, Santa and the rest of the Yuletide crew were unceremoniously placed into a draw, where they remained dejected for several years. My mojo had run out but this year it is back, so I was determined to resurrect these little guys and give  them the limelight that they deserved. I ended up making well over 30 cards from this set!!

When I went online to see what others were making with the elves and there were lots and lots of cards with the cute little elves stacked on top of each other.  So, you guessed it, I made five cards with the cute little elves piled high.

This set of 5 cards feature our favourite Christmas couple, Santa and his ever loving wife, Mrs Claus.  There is a bonus card at the end of this post showing Santa kicking back at he end of a hard day at the North Pole.

I hope that you like the distressed overlays I put on the photos: they took me ages to do!!!

Christmas Cards using Stamping Up Stamp and Die sets: 'Signs of Santa' and 'Christmas Banners' and Uniquely Creative dies: 'Slim Stacked Merry Christmas Die' and 'Slim 3 Window Die' Post #2 of 7

Dear Bloggers,
Several years ago I purchased, 'Signs of Santa', a super cute stamp, die and paper set by Stamping Up.
I industriously stamped, coloured and cut out images and then.....nothing. The delightful little elves, Santa and the rest of the Yuletide crew were unceremoniously placed into a draw, where they remained for several years. My mojo had run out but this year it is back, so I was determined to resurrect these little guys and give  them the limelight that they deserved. I ended up making well over 30 cards from this set!!

I had quite a few elves that I had previously coloured but not cut out. I didn't really feel like fiddling around with the elf dies, so I used a versatile die by Uniquely Creative, 'Slim 3 Window Die.' (A favourite). Each little Elven head was placed into the square template and I was very happy with the results.  The 'Slim 3 Window Die' is also fantastic as it allowed me to use 'all those pretty papers' in the Collection.

Stamping Up has in their current catalogue, a great stamp and die set called, 'Christmas Banners'.  I especially like the smallest banner as it seems to work so well with  many different cards.  I feel the banners are such a stylish and useful way of adding text to my cards.

Uniquely Creative's ,'Slim Stacked Merry Christmas Die' is also one of my favourites dies of all time.  The image it cuts  is so gorgeous that it really should go onto the front of the card but it is also great used inside.   I had some gold foiled Christmas papers that were waiting for their forever home, and they looked amazing cut and inserted into the card. Just a shame I did not photograph this before I delivered all my Christmas Cards.
